The invited guest speaker was Dr Urbane Ip, Medical Director of Surrey Memorial Hospital, Canada. He has a passion in emergency ultrasound, and also acts as the director for Emergency Department Targeted Ultrasound Course, Division of Continued Medical Education , Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians. During this unique seminar, Dr Ip gave the following lectures on : 1. Advances in Emergency Department Targeted Ultrasound (EDTU) - The Present and Future Emergency Medicine Practice applications 2. Emergency Department Targeted Ultrasonography - Its Usage in Cardiorespiratory and Trauma Resuscitation Next, Ms Anita Whistler from Zonare gave an informative product review of the latest Zonare ultrasound system, designed specifically for the emergency department. This event was well attended by emergency physicians from the various restructered hospitals as well as within the private sector. |
