Thai Emergency Physicians’ Programme in Singapore

As one of the participants in the
Thai Emergency Physicians’ Programme in Singapore (TEPPS) from 15th to 20th January 2007 , I and my colleagues would like to convey our sincere thank to the organizing committee and coordinators from Tan Tock Seng Hospital , and Singapore Cooperation Programme, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This is a great learning experiences and fruitful programme for all of us. Tour and clinical attachment at the Emergency Department of Tan Tock Seng Hospital and KK Women and Children’s Hospital was very interesting. It is not only providing information but also the applicable knowledge and practical issues in accidents and emergency medicine. Having a chance to share experiences and ideas with emergency department staffs is stimulating learning sessions.

Advanced Trauma Life Support course is well organized and presented. Practical skills stations are exciting and always stimulating. These stations bring us back to the basic concepts and systematic approach in emergency management. I learn more and more even during the examination, triage and assessment sessions.

Having a chance to attend the 8th SEMS Annual Scientific Meeting is an interesting for our team of Thai emergency physicians. We, as member of Thailand Society of Emergency Medicine, have more to learn from the Society for Emergency Medicine in Singapore .

Finally, I hope that the TEPPS and the cooperation programme will last long and contribute to Thailand-Singapore long-lasting sustainable friendly relationship.
