A) Medical Writing Workshop - Who should attend?

 

Have you ever wondered how to and where to start in writing medical papers, research projects or abstracts? How should it be written in order to get your paper accepted? This workshop seeks to guide you in your medical abstract & paper writing process as well as highlight common pitfalls to avoid.

 

This workshop is targeted for all emergency trainees at various stages of their training career, doctors who are in the midst of or planning to carry out research projects, and for anyone who is interested in improving his/her medical writing skills to increase their chances of publication success.

 

Participants have the chance to submit their abstracts and papers for expert opinion & guidance by Prof Jerris Hedges.

B) Medico-legal Workshop

 

What are the dos and don’ts in our emergency practice in this current climate of increasing medico-legal liability? How can I practice evidenced-based medicine while keeping costs low and at the same time ensuring patient safety? If I do get into a medical law suite, what should I do? How do I protect myself from such medico-legal liabilities?

 

This is an informative session dealing with medicine and the law, targeted for all emergency medicine trainees, medical officers as well as senior staff involved in leading the department in medicolegal issues.
