At one of the IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) camps..... Bringing medications/medical supplies to the clinic there and helping the local volunteer doctor in his clinic

At the Meulaboh General Hospital (R.S.U Cut Nyak Dhien)….. Role of educator in the construction phase of the hospital

At the Muhammadiyah Orphanage….. Rebuilding the orphanages and interacting with the kids

Memorable Moments
“Except nothing, except to adapt” – advised a fellow volunteer returning from his mission
Most unsettling moment: witnessing the panic when cries of “Air naik! Air naik!” were heard one night (turned out to be a false alarm)
It was only a simple T&S but the patient walked away looking like he had just struck lottery…. he told his friends that he had been treated by the Singapore doctor…. And I felt like I had struck lottery!
Most helpless moment: watching a patient desaturating in ICU and unable to provide anything more than intra-nasal oxygen.
“No, I was already dead once” – replied one of the orphans when asked whether he was afraid during a heavy storm which we were caught in while at the orphanage.
Proudest achievement: making a carrom board
